IF YOU HAVE NEVER PLAYED BEFORE - THATS TOTALLY FINE
we have had lots of questions about this but over half the players have never played a game
we are also planning a learn to play day, One Tuesday night before the campaign kicks off!
Your starting warband will be 700 ducats and 0 glory. You'll need to have your warband roster filled out in Trench Companion when we send the link out (See Page 9 recruiting a warband in the Warbands Of Trench Crusade Rulebook 1.01)
The campaign will consist of 6 rounds (instead of the normal 12). You'll be paired with an opponent, and you'll have three weeks to complete your game, the default place to play is the east saints baseball club, but we don't care where you play, your house, their house, guf, the pub, whatever.
Pairing will be random for game 1 and listed on Trench Companion. After your game upload the results of your game to Trench Companion.
Scenarios: Game 1-5 will use the “Selecting a Campaign Scenario” on page 95, and Game 6 will be the Great War scenario.
After your game is complete do the campaign phase with your opponent, update your warband roster and post photos of the updated roster on the discord (this is more for vibes than anything else)
Exploration step: games 1-4 will use the exploration table on page 113. In game 5 you will have the choice to use the common, rare or legendary exploration location tables.
Players who fail to get their game in during the three weeks will still need to do the Campaign phase with a campaign member. But they will only have the options of (1) collecting loot at half the ducats rolled in the Exploration Step and (2) Quatermaster Step OR simply reinforcing.
